Heirloom Corn for Lost Lake Farm
Heirloom Corn for Lost Lake Farm
Chainstitch Embroidery on Dyed Linen
18” x 18”
My buds Carissa and Nathan, owners of Lost Lake Farm and pillars of the community up here in Northern Michigan, have had a rough few months. Nathan had spinal surgery last month, the height of farm season, due to an injury. This means that on top of medical bills, they have also had to hire more help around the farm. All of the money from this sale will go directly to them.
If you’re not familiar with Lost Lake, let me tell you they have the best produce I’ve ever tasted, hands down. My partner and I run a food business and almost exclusively use their produce due to its superior quality. It is both delicious and beautiful. They are also just real good humans!
They have also grown the most gorgeous corn I’ve ever seen! I’ve been wanting to stitch it since I saw it, and I thought this was the perfect opportunity. Those colors! The last two photos here are from them, and that last one is Nathan himself!
I will be sure to let them know who this piece is going to. :)
Thank you!
