One of my favorite things to do when I’m spending time in Alpine, TX is to hike “the desk” trail at sunrise. It’s quite the climb, but from the top you can see the whole town and all of the mountains that surround it. This paintstitch is a study on the way the first rays of sunlight hit the mountains to the west.
