Near my house there is a hill from which you can see a glorious view of Lake Michigan, showcasing the entirety of North Manitou Island. The island looks very different every day, sometimes floating in the air, sometimes dark and brooding, sometimes lit by the sun. Here I wanted to capture it bold but lazy in the sunset.

The roadside in the summer here is filled with daisies and bladder campion, so I wanted to add those as well. This was my first time to try adding paint to the actual stitch itself, a process I really enjoyed.
